Grouette Studio Laser Therapy - "Conquering your addiction"

When your ready to quit....we'll be ready to help!

"The Facts"

did you know...

For many people it is love at first puff and that’s all it takes to reinforce the addiction each time it’s done. Did you know that a smoker who smokes 20 cigarettes a day inhales about 0.1 kg of tar per year alone. Life expectancy for this person is 22 days less for each year he smokes, that’s about 6 minutes less per cigarette.

Anti-smoking advocates highlight the long-term health effects, like cancer and emphysema, that result from a lifetime of smoking - but these maladies are the result of chemicals in cigarettes other than nicotine. Unfortunately, the fact that nicotine alone is an extremely toxic poison often goes unmentioned. Not many people realize that nicotine is also sold commercially in the form of a pesticide! And every year, many children go to the emergency room after eating cigarettes or cigarette butts. Sixty milligrams of nicotine, if all were absorbed, would kill an adult.

What does nicotine do?

A nicotine "high" reaches the brain within seven seconds of your first puff. At this point your brain makes endorphins in response to the nicotine. An endorphin release can lead to feelings of euphoria, which is why people say they feel good when they smoke. But nicotine's effects are short-lived, lasting only 40 minutes to a couple of hours. This leads people to smoke periodically throughout the day to dose themselves with nicotine. Eventually you can become tolerant to nicotine's effects - you need to use more and more nicotine to reach the same degree of stimulation or relaxation. People can quickly move from smoking one cigarette to a pack a day habit.

What is Laser Therapy?

It's simply acupressure point therapy, like acupuncture. It's a holistic approach to heal the body.  A low level light pulse is directed at points on the face, ears and hands. The treatment works to stimulate the release of endorphins in the body mimicking the endorphin rush caused by nicotine.

physical cravings with the use of Laser Smoking Cessation treatment, allowing you to become a non-smoker in the easiest possible way.  As long as you want to quit we can make it easy for you.

How long will it take?

Approx. 40 minutes. There is usually only one treatment required, however if you experience an unmanageable desire to smoke, a laser enhancement treatment is available.

Who cannot be treated?

People who: have cancerous tumors currently present - are taking photosensitive medications - are pregnant - have epilepsy or have had a seizure in the past 6 months.

NOTE:  people taking anti-depressants will require multiple sessions and treatment may be less effective

How long does the feeling of not needing a cigarette last after the treatment?

For most people, the physical cravings are gone for good. You will still however have the mental habits to break. Try to break your normal smoking routines; such as change the order or your morning routine, have a different beverage other than coffee or sing to a favorite CD.

The very act of thinking and consciously breaking a routine will make you feel capable, willful and strong.
